What is the difference between a ZIP drive and flash drive?
I need a zip drive for the class and could use some help. I have Windows XP edition 2005 media on my Toshiba laptop. I have no idea what the differences are, can you help? Thank you!
Flash drives are also called thumb drives, so named because of its size. Is a USB device, meaning that it must have a USB port to use. The biggest I've seen has a capacity to 16GB, there are many others, the main technical differences as the form in which figures are available, if you are interested in the technical differences, see Wikipedia links below. Iomega ZIP are made by only a single disc can hold 750MB (much less data capacity), which are physically much larger than the flash units and are much more expensive. I can not imagine why we needed to get a Zip drive, which are quite obsolete. If they really want to get a unit Zip try Newegg, TigerDirect, or Iomega. Also, be sure to ask the size of the disks from their teacher wants (750MB or 250 MB)
